Branson Christmas 2026: Plan the Lights, Then Find Your Stay

Out for the lights. Back for the cozy. A Branson holiday trip works best when the big outing and the place you stay fit the same dates. Start with the attraction your family cares about most, then choose a Lakestone condo or lodge where everyone can settle in afterward.

Put your must-do holiday outing on the calendar
Silver Dollar City: An Old Time Christmas
Silver Dollar City lists An Old Time Christmas for November 7, 2026–January 2, 2027. The festival runs on the park’s operating days, so check the calendar for your exact visit before choosing your stay. Give the park its own day in your plans rather than squeezing several major outings into the same evening.
Check Silver Dollar City’s official holiday calendar and tickets.
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride
Branson Scenic Railway lists departures on select dates November 12–January 2. If the train is the reason for your trip, compare available departures with lodging dates before committing to either. Choose a departure that suits your children’s evening routine and leave time for arrival at the downtown station.

Big Cedar and Branson Landing
Big Cedar’s Home for the Holidays program runs during November and December. Check the individual activity’s dates, reservations and day-visitor requirements before adding it to your itinerary. For a shopping-and-dining outing, browse Branson Landing’s current directory and calendar and choose a meal stop that works for your group.
Choose a stay that fits the people coming with you
For a smaller family or a few friends: start with our 2- and 3-bedroom condos. Compare each rental’s sleeping arrangements and maximum occupancy so the bedroom setup works for your group, not just the head count.
For several families traveling together: Lakestone’s 10-bedroom lodges accommodate up to 24 overnight guests each. They give a larger group a place to gather between outings while keeping everyone’s lodging plans together. Review the individual listing for its layout and amenities.

A simple plan with room to relax
- Arrival evening: settle in and keep dinner simple. Save the biggest outing for a day when you are not also traveling.
- Your main outing: build the day around your confirmed park visit or train departure. Leave breathing room for meals, parking and the ride back.
- Your extra time: choose a second outing, a shopping stop or an unhurried morning together. You do not need to fill every hour.
If your group can travel on different days, compare more than one date combination. Check attraction operating days alongside the rental’s minimum stay and booking terms.
Three things to settle before booking
- Your preferred arrival and departure dates, plus one backup option.
- Your total overnight guest count and the sleeping arrangements you need.
- The attraction or departure time your trip is built around.
